Shetland Arts would like children and young people to design a Christmas Card. 
Anyone from the age of 5 up to the age of 18 is welcome to enter.
There will be one winning image chosen from each age category:  5-11 years and 12-18 years.
The two winning designs will be produced commercially and sold in the Bonhoga and Garrison for Christmas 2010.

Doctor Who: first snap from 2010 Christmas special

There’s nothing like talking about Christmas in August. So here’s a shot of the Doctor Who Yuletide episode to keep you in a summery mood…

The shoot is pretty much wrapped up now for this December's Doctor Who Christmas special, and as part and parcel of Matt Smith's appearance on The One Show last Friday, the BBC has sent out the first promotional still for the episode.

Granted, it doesn't tell you a lot, other than there will be a Tardis, the Doctor and some snow. But heck, there's nothing like looking at a festive snap in the middle of summer. So, here it is...

The new Christmas Grotto booking service will enable you to reserve a specific time slot for your Grotto visit, so you shouldn't have to wait for more than 40 minutes. Tickets will be available to book online from 16th September. Please note that all adults and children require tickets to enter the Grotto.

Tickets are free of charge with an administration fee of £5 per booking. This will be re-credited to your Rewards card and available to spend in Harrods on the day you visit the Grotto. The £5 cannot be spent on photographs or grotto items.
